Australian Open LIVE: Nick Kyrgios offers to fight fan as Novak Djokovic branded ‘selfish’ | Tennis | Sport

Nick Kyrgios said that he was ready to jump in the crowd and confront Novak Djokovic’s heckler after the Serb’s second-round victory over Alexei Popyrin.

Speaking to Djokovic on Eurosport, Kyrgios said: “When he was heckling you, Novak, I said to the commentary box and everyone worldwide, I was like: ‘Look, if you want me to jump into the crowd and sort him out, I’ll do it for you bro’. I’ve got your back, 100 per cent.”

Djokovic reacted with a smile as he replied: “I’ll keep that in my mind, thanks Kygs.”
